The Four % Rule
As you age, your four % rule absolutely can go up right in. What happens over those first five years when you're drawing down on your assets will be the biggest high light or indicator of whether or not you will be a failure or success 15, 20 or 30 years now. The failures are much more likely to occur in later years and what those back stops look like. And that's this real estate can be so powerful, because you can monetize that real estate and not have 30 more years to live.
