The Impact of Composite Materials on Structural Engineering
The name Quake wrap was really for just that one application of wrapping these fabrics around the columns of bridges. Today, if we look at the business that we're doing in Quake wrap, probably less than 5% to 10% may be seismic upgrade activities. But the rest of it is all about corrosion, repair, strengthening. They can be applied quite easily and quickly and have an excellent tensile strength. And unlike steel that corrodes, these materials, they last visually forever.
