The Fed's Chairmanship Has Been Shifting Pressures on Congress and the Fed
I would say I think the Fed could do more for individual workers. But the Fed has been chairman of House specifically has been very insistent that fiscal support really should come from Congress. Some people have called for Claudia Somme as an economist to set up a specific facility to send out checks to Americans in times of downturn. So far, we haven't seen those things happen.
