The Evolution of Resource Nationalism in Latin America

Before fossil fuels became so branded as being the tools of Satan, it was possible for people on the left to respond to political developments like that. But now I think we are more in a situation where anything that involves fossil fuels is bad. The idea that this can be done in these less developed parts of the world without, you know, considerable fossil fuels and without building up an infrastructure does not just depend on whether dependent renewables. It's utterly preposterous. Do you think people are even aware of how idiotic they're being?
