The Origins of the French Language

Linguistics in Australia has a huge amount of borrowing going on for social reasons. So, either you come up with some circumlocution or you borrow the word from a neighboring language. And it might take over. The example that I've heard is, um, Dubleon entonter, or double entonter,. Which, in French, you would not say DubleonEntonter as I understand it. Our French-peaking listeners may correct me.
