Session Based Games - The Future of Strategy Games
session based games for me are like my bread and butter I think like progression that you feel in these games actually. When you finally got to play one of these games online and play against again a stranger it unlocked this whole other part of my brain which was competitiveness. So yeah I think that's right I mean while the MMOs probably privileged community the session based games really privileged competitiveness because again they reached a victory condition within that 45 minutes to an hour so there was this sort of again sports like component to it which I think was really important.
