Banks are able to charge people a fee if they go negative on their balance. Soi it's a revenue stream rather than technical problem. This isn't eventual consistency any more, this is an opportunity to charge people  a fee If you're going to keep maybe they'll see you made whatever you just keep doing it. That really reminds me of fact that a lot of these problems have been solved in the real world for centuries. You know, you have to allow credit card companies do this all the time.
