Why Trade Energy?

We produce so much energy. Why do we trade energy if we don't have to? A part of it is give two two, two answers. One is a shorter and one is a more technical, engineering, petroleum refining kind of answer. The first is, think of a totally bocanized market with no trade. That would mean, as i used to say, mand i've said this in commentary o 20 years ago. I suppose you can have choice number one as no trade. But when times are unpleasant, it may look like to some people a good deal,. particularly politicians running for re election. And customers are sort of scared. So that's the short answer.
