The Disposition of Being Towards Being

Metaphysics can be understood as the disposition of loving being. Under the aspect of a passion, metaphysics enshrines our desire for being. We are always already in possession of being and ultimately we are the friends of being. In Thomas' ordering of the sciences and Thomistic understanding of traces out of quatzio, we see two concrete examples of metaphysics as charitable comportment towards being. It is relationship, humility, non-dominance. It is love.
