i introduced what would be considered the first artificial intelligence systems at meta 16 years ago, working ona both news feed and also on a kind of anti spam. Within within four or five years, everything that had written had been replaced by much better, more robust systems all based on deep learning. i think it super exciting in the sense that progress is accelerating and there is a lot of open questions, so a lot of unsolved problems that are still prograbs.
