Port Kayo, France - The Old Gatehouse

Port Kayo is located deep in what's now the southwest of France, but it wasn't always part of that country. The old riverfront city has been continually inhabited since at least the Stone Age. In the time of ancient Rome, the Romans controlled the town and it served as a commercial outpost of the Roman Empire. Later in the Middle Ages, the city was part of an independent region ruled by jukes and duchesses. But people are only allowed through on foot these days. This old gatehouse was once said into heavy walls that ringed the city in the Middletons. They were taken down centuries ago to open up the town, but the gatehouse remains
