This chapter examines recent cybersecurity threats, focusing on malware obfuscation techniques in Visual Basic scripts and a critical vulnerability in CrowdStrike's software. It also addresses exploitation of older vulnerabilities in OFBiz and highlights security risks in unprotected web applications, particularly concerning cross-site scripting.
