The New York Review of Books editor talks about the rise of wokeness. He says it's partly a result of the weakening of unions and so on. The old industrial working class is no longer the proletariat that it was in the 20th century, he says. Ian Boulden: There need to be people standing on the sidelines pointing out that what's being presented as a political program is actually a kabuki exercise.
