The Importance of Resistance in the Freedom Struggle
Joanne Thothar: The resistance is in part symbolic. It's also literal, but it is also symbolic in the sense that we know that these stones are not going to dismantle the occupation physically. But their continued attempts to challenge occupation wherever they see makes it more difficult for them to achieve their aims of total control over all of Palestine. So I salute your brothers and all of the other martyrs. Their stories, their names, they lived and died for something. When Palestine is free, it's going to be because of people like Joanne Thothsar.
