The Decreation and the New Creation

In Genesis 1, God allowed the waters under the heavens to be gathered together into one place and let dry land appear. In chapter 8, if you follow this through, you will see a repeat of all at least the first six days of creation. And then I think that these things are really also confirmed with what God says, or what is presented in Genesis 9, 1. So there's actually just a really intricate correspondence between the days of creation and what's happening here in chapter eight.
