Malcolm X is an interesting case for our debate because he gave himself to the seduction of thought and words he copied out of the entire dictionary in his prison cell. He became a fierce auto-didact. Terry Kinskmina, I've done quite that research on transformation experience in prison. It seems to bring out a more essential identity. They find something deeper within themselves. That's what happens to anybody when they enter their own being. We find something deeper and more authentic.
