Daniel Banister's Statement to the RCMP
May Banister and her 15-year-old daughter Francis were being detained at the Moncton Police Jail as material witnesses. Defense Council Murray Lambert worked hard to represent the banister family in pre-trial court hearings. Through Lambert, they would level several other accusations at the RCMP including using unlawful interrogation tactics or coercing confessions. They alleged that constables hadn't centivised Arthur and Daniel's jailmates with getting a confession out of them.
