The marquis de is the type of person that, when you peek into the folds of his brain, he will scare you. His fictional protagonist became the mouthpiece for his entire world view. Sod believed in his bones that there was no purpose in life except for the pursuit of physical pleasure. He also utterly rejected traditional christian morality.
