The Pollution Gap in the US Is Taking Years Off the Lives of People

Air pollution causes a greater loss of life years than smoking, h i v aves or even car crashes. On average, there was almost two % more politance in the air on the bad days. In areas where these one and six monitoring stations were retired, the average pollution levels on what would have been the monitring days quickly rose. The size of the gap increases where there's a higher cost of being called.
