Is There a Love Hate Relationship With China?
You went over for the first time in 19 86. Ah, and you've been going back repeatedly since then. And the fascination seems to have, if anything, deepened. I think me and a lot of my professional friends have a love hate relationship with china. The attraction or interest is only slightly greater than some of the repulsion. But i'm increasingly interested in the rest of the world, and using china as a sort of test case for seeing how global processes are unfolding in a particular location. So i'm not even bound by china in what i whalt i choose to to research.
