In the 1920s, you might have had a book of the month club. Why did that work? Because everybody would effectively receive the best seller. And since everybody gets the same recommendation, it's easy enough and they could hold it in inventory. In principle, now we could have much better predictions about what people are going to want. But once you have an AI that's going to break rules, allow you to make different decisions at different times, that requires a different company.
