"We found out from ther that the majority of them had served in the pnjab regiments. And so many people from the same village served in the same penjab regiment in great numbers" "So few had been with the camel corps, labor corps and sappers and miners as well." So i didn't realize that they were recruited so tightly based on village and region,. almost tantamount or equivalent to a powell's battalion when you're recruited from britain. I suppose this makes sense.
