Introduction
A, thank you to everyone for coming. Great to see so many friends, and even some people that i've known on line without having met. So the title of my talk is the eclipse of innovation. And in a way, its point is a conventional or or simple one. I would hardly be the first to argue that the major transformational innovations of modern times are already behind us. Some disagree with that analysis and suggest that extraordinary innovations still lie in our future. But what i would like to do is examine why this slowing of innovation is a predicament for us, potentially a good one.
