The Story of Immigration in the Late 19th Century

Barto Lomeo-Venzetti left Italy for the U.S. because he was in a trade that people didn't need as much anymore. The United States desperately needed those people to fill the factories and mines of this dramatically expanding industrial system. That's the story of immigration in the late 19th century as it is very much the story ofimmigration in the 21st century.
