Gimlin died of cancer in 1972 and Patterson didn't talk about the subject until 2000 when he finally began giving interviews. The creature's shoulders are almost 50% wider than the human mean, for comparison, Andre the Giant had a human ratio of 24%. So whoever this was, was fucking massive. Are there any scientists that think that this is a legitimate possibility? Absolutely. And these are real scientists.
