What Did You Learn Theologically While Writing This Book?
I didn't really do any theological research at all for this book. I found myself kind of immersed in black literature as I was writing. And so you'll see that in the book, a lot of the quotations are from black thinkers and theologians. Maybe it was some kind of culmination of all those conversations with with students that helped me kind of flesh out some passages from scripture. You know, maybe it was just like a nine year journey, some of that theology working itself out on my own.
