The Evolution of Plaque-Is-Oins

Mike Levin at Tufts University and his colleagues literally invented these new forms of life, what they call biobots. They take cells from frog embryos, enemas embryos, for the it's called the animal cap. And spheroids have externalized cilia. So basically spontaneously they take structures that might be active internally in the animal cap cells, but they get externalized. This is nothing that they do when they're part of the frog embryo. But here they're put in a completely new context.
