Since 1978 there has been techniques starting with in vitro fertilization where people recognize that they can be helped to have a baby if they don't conceive naturally. But it's difficult to know how far your right to get that assistance goes and this is largely a matter of expense. When the UK most of our healthcare is free do you think IVF should be free to couples who couldn't otherwise have a child? Well at the moment the law is that people are entitled if they're lucky enough to live in the right district to have one cycle of IVF on the National Health Service.
