Introduction
The Karapuna people are one of hundreds of indigenous tribes that lives in Brazil's Amazon rainforest. The Karapuna nearly went extinct in the 1970s, but since then they've been growing. Andrei says illegal logging and large-scale mining have been encouraged by the government of Jayir Bolsonaro. These people are actually suing the government for complicity in these land grabs.
