The Role of Ultrasound in Diagnosing Cirrhosis
The recommendations for a cirrhotic patient are fairly clear that they need to be having ultrasound, at least ultrasound surveillance of their abdomen, of their liver every six months. And depending on who you ask, you can add alpha for your protein monitoring to that as well. But there are studies showing that it does increase the sensitivity of the surveillance.
