Is There a Code for Doctors on Social Media?
The general medical council has put in place guidelines for doctors on social media. They can't bully, harass or make gratuitous comments about individuals online. But there aren't immediately clear guide lines for navigating brand deals and endorsements. For example, even an endorsement for something like quaker oats could create the perception that those products are medically approved.
