When it is happening, the sympathetic part of your autonomic nervous system is the fight or flight that we always talk about. That's the sympathetic fight or flight. It triggers a whole cascade of hormones, and it causes our thinking to change,. And then the other side of the autonomic nervoussystem is the paris sympathetic side. This is the rest and digest side. We are not ever getting back to the rest and digestion side. If we get out of the way, if we get our fight or flight out of theway, we can just relax back into the rest and Digestion state.
