Introduction
Sickle silanemia is a genetic disorder that involves a mutation in the hemoglobagine, which causes hemogloben to polemorize. It can cause the r b c to take on this crescentic, sickle shape, which can cause them to clot and obstruct capillars. The disease gets you into trouble when you start getting vas ecclusive crises, at least from a critical care perspective. This is where essentially a vaso xclusive crisis occurs in the lungs.
