In the days that you were first coming up, there were white comedy gigs and black comedy gigs. You'd have to adapt totot to work, depended on what room youere in. When i remember when critics used to come to my show, i won't name the critics,. ut i rememberin my second e v d, probably one of the biggest comedy critics said, the apollo's never seen this many indians or asians before. And it was almost, i found it quite offensive. But er critcs, white, middle class male critics, hade to point out that there's a lot of agients in these crowds, and it hasn't been seen
