The Three C's of US Polarization
The coasts were generally more liberal than the heartland even in the same country. Nicholas Riccardi writing for the Associated Press just in the last few weeks looks at what he refers to as a pattern of US polarization which is actually leading to people moving from one state to another. The western part of Oregon they're on the Pacific Coast very very liberal you go to the eastern part of Oregon far more mountainous far more rural far more conservative.
