The Importance of Staking Pools and Mining Pools on Ethereum
The concern is that the amount of stake that a individual or an entity controls. That's directly what enables them to be validators on Ethereum. And in order to be a validator, you need to stake at least 32 ETH. So the importance of staking pools and large amounts of ETH getting concentrated to a single entity can significantly damage the liveliness of Etherum.
