How Much Snot Does Your Nasal Mucus Produce?

Snot is a really important product, not because it nourishes small children. It actually protects the lining of your nose and throat. You produce around one to two quarts of mucus in your nose and throats every day. When you've got inflammation, then actually mucus,. you produce more of it, and it becomes thicker. And so it's essentially what I don't know if you've got a cold, which is what prompted this question.
