Is It Possible That Open Hypotheses Are Avoided?

i wonder what you think of the idea that open or explicit questions, or clearly stated hypotheses are often not there. And please correct me if i'm wrong. If your experience in editing is actually that you see them very clearly stated and often there. A good hypothesis will also have a sound mechanistic reason behind it,. That's one of the things that people mean when they say being clear. I would imagine, y sta, stay on topic, so to speak.
