The Importance of Surrogacy
The surrogate is the birth mother, right? This is the woman. This is the only person the child knows for the first nine and a half months of their life. We don't put babies on the chests of random strangers so they can form a bond after they're born. And we already know through researching and studying adoptees that this is what many of them would call a primal wound. The loss of their birth mother is something that hindered their ability to trust and attach throughout life.
