What Happened to the American Southwest?
The United States government bought up a huge amount of land in the southwest to test new nuclear bombs. One of the left over pieces of land from that major purchase was area 51, which is now known as 'the proving grounds' The people who actually work there go by nicknames like dreamland and the paradise ranch. Nobody has ever had access to anything that's being done inside the base for a very long time. Anyone who broke federal law could be liable for crimes they did when they were there.
