The Benefits of Forest Bathing

The type of nature people were in did not matter. They were more active by about 900 steps so not huge but something and they had about five points of lowering in their blood pressure. There could be a few mechanisms there's this compound that trees give off and it's been shown to lower blood pressure. Also when in nature people tend to engage in what's known as divergent gazing meaning they look out at the landscape which is parasympathetic. So irrespective of the reason any sort of nature escape is helpful and it is not activity dependent.
