The Importance of a Medical Background in Autism

I think it's something that isn't really taught that much during your university degree. And then during physicians training, it wasn't part of the training at all. It comes under either pediatricians because children often when people are diagnosed with autism or it's under the training of psychiatry. So prior to us embarking on my diagnosis of autism, what did you actually know about autism? Very little.
