Ando was born in Taiwan and moved to Osaka, Japan after the war. He saw people buying noodles from black markets where they were illegally selling things. His new mission becomes figuring out how Japan can feed its entire post-war population. And he thinks what's worse is that hunger is the biggest issue today.
