Savonarola and the Bonfire of the Vanities and All That.
People associate Savonarola with the kind of puritanical approach to the arts. But what you're showing is that what was really offensive to the Medici was calling them to repent over their exploitation of people who were vulnerable economically in Florence, which is sort of odd. You would think that would make him like a hero to those looking for people like that.
