Freud Is a Great Writer of Imaginative Literature

It's been almost a century since Freud was writing and since he was at his peak, but we're still Freudian. I wish that we were more Jungian. We don't really think in Jungian terms although Jung pioneered ideas of archetypes. But there's no Jung without Freud. If you have a Freudian analysis, it tears you down and doesn't build you up again. And that's an idea that we explore in depth in regards to crime and punishment. The central protagonist, Raskolnikov, his name means split and schism. It's how he says it that will always remain hyper relevant.
