The Disappointment of the Buddhist Geeks Podcast
I was quite happy when the Buddhist Geeks podcast emerged along with a few others and some of the earlier conversations on that podcast. After a while, though, it kind of headed off into a couple of directions, one of them being a sort of fetishization of technology. And I realized that reflecting what I found interesting about that podcast, they were always the more intelligent conversations with guests who usually had some kind of link to the academic world or philosophy. In my own hubris, I'll give it a go. That's kind of where it started. The second one was I proposed to Stuart that we do it in a very down to earth and relatively informal manner as kind of reproducing
