The Impact of Rapes on the Mobility of Women
Sally Kohn: Rapes are impacting the mobility of women in Hariana. She says even if jobs are available, sometimes they can't because of external circumstances. In Bhavana, which is on the outskirts of Delhi, women are bringing home job work from nearby factories for below-minimum wages and very little pay. But when a resettlement collily like Bhavana comes up to move polluting industries, how does it impact the lives of women? Sally Kohn: They've now been thrown into some wild wilderness where there is an extremely high crime rate.
