The Downsides of Covered Call Strategies
The strategy did really well last year in a crappy market A lot of those strategies they go for the more low-vall high quality stocks. We just couldn't justify it internally. It was adding income to the field not just recategorizing capital gain as ordinary incomeReally is what's happening there And you get some return capital, but and the other thing guys remember when you're writing those covered calls The market goes down you in a sense or you're giving away your upside all the time. But we have this barrier on the downside that says no You're not going to lose until you pierce that barrier drop below that barrier.
