The Effects of Rosenhans' Study on the DSM
In medicine, remission is the partial or complete disappearance of the signs or symptoms of a disease. If you have schizophrenia and then the symptoms completely vanish, your schizophrenia is in remission even if it comes back at some future point. The DSM presents illnesses and hardline senses but genetically there are overlaps between different diagnoses.
