Brokenness Is the Poetics of Blessedness

A.W. Tozer famously said it is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until he has hurt him deeply. Alan Redpath, who said something very similar, when God has an impossible task to do, he takes an impossible man and breaks him. It's the same idea. Friends, God is a friend and the wounds of a friend can be trusted.
